With all the excitement surrounding the opening of our new clinic WIN…altra, in Fonthill, Ontario, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Dr. Jack Harman, and I am one of the chiropractors at WIN’s second location in Fonthill. After my fiancé began her career as a health care professional in the Niagara Health System, we were drawn to the small town, close-knit community of Fonthill, and moved here last summer. This area has endless potential and I am proud to be a part of it’s health care development.
I truly love what I do as a Chiropractor, and the fact that my career helps to improve my patient’s quality of life is what makes it worth every second.
Here at WIN…altra our goal is to re-train the nervous system to break the cycle of pain and speed up recovery. We assess and manage neuro-musculo-skeletal disorders and injuries using the most up-to-date, evidence based neurofunctional treatments and rehabilitation. This is not limited to back pain, but all areas of the body where you have pain or mobility issues.
The chiropractic adjustment is a great tool to improve mobility and reduce associated pain, although, that is rarely the whole story for most patients.
With the addition of neurofunctional assessments, acupuncture, muscle release techniques, and the Neubie, I look to find the root functional cause of your pain and eliminate it.
Within the profession of chiropractic there exists a variety of treatment philosophies. I personally believe that it is important to use a science-based approach when it comes to assessing and treating our clients. Although we offer a variety of treatment options, I believe it is just as important to know the limitations of a treatment as the benefits it can provide. Making unsubstantiated claims isn’t good for anyone, and can actually hurt the profession. We make sure to listen to our patients’ experiences and come up with a clear and effective treatment plan to get you out of pain fast.
